Design Services

For over 25 years, the Discovery Centre has been creating one-of-a-kind learning experiences for Nova Scotians at our hands-on science centre. Over this time, we have gained an array of expertise in design consultation, innovative fabrication and program delivery.

Our seasoned team of designers and fabricators can help you take your ideas, big or small, from paper to product. We work in all materials and blend technology, art, multimedia, engineering, lighting, electronics and audio to create innovative solutions and dramatic environments and exhibits for a wide variety of purposes and markets. We also work with a number of the country’s leading fabricators on large-scale projects.

Some of the pieces we have designed and built in-house or have collaborated on with our partners, include the Slap Organ, the Nova Scotia Science Hall of Fame, the Spinning Chair, the Water and Our World exhibit and the IWK exhibit.
