Volunteer

Interact with visitors and school groups explaining the background of exhibits, delivering floor demonstrations and giving a helping hand to exhibit interpretive staff in day to day duties. You must have an engaging personality, an interest in working with young children, a LOVE of science and a penchant for getting your hands dirty.

When: Monday to Sunday mornings/afternoons, 2-4 hour shifts.

Work with our staff to deliver birthday parties by greeting and orienting families, helping turnover of the birthday room and delivering our special Comet party demo! You must have interest in working with young children, superb customer service skills and a big smile at all times!

When: Friday afternoons/Saturday morning/afternoons, Sunday afternoons, year round, 2-4 hour shifts.

Give children the best summer camp experience by helping our instructors with daily activities, field trips and demonstrations. Opportunities include summer, winter and PD camp programs. You must have previous camp experience, an interest in working with young children, a LOVE of science and the ability to work as a team.

When: Summer camps (July – August), Winter camps (Christmas school break), PD camps (September – May).
